“transience”

my work is an exploration of human interaction with familiar and unfamiliar environments, and how these interactions influence my identity, memories, and overall global perspective. my artistic practice highlights my personal recollections and interactions with my surroundings. through works like Transcience, i abstract my memories and reflect through experimentation with printmaking processes such as photo etching. i aim to create an atmospheric space that places the viewer in a more intimate headspace as an introverted individual who tends to notice and remember details that often go unnoticed. the physicalities of the photo etching process and printing this image enable me to contemplate my memories and emotions while physically representing my individual experiences, evoking emotions in a more abstracted manner. through movement and layers, i aim to highlight how some memories will blend together or be remembered differently, motivating different resonances, senses of reflection, and nostalgia for the viewer.
