“ghost of you”

artist statement
i wrote this song after a heavy period of loss. in the months leading up to it, my grandfather passed away, i lost my best friend to brain cancer, and my relationship of 2.5 years ended. during this time, i felt very alone and found solace in my music. i wrote ghost of you as a way to sit with my pain and commemorate all the love i was grieving. the lyrics reflected my desire to escape reality and find closure in an alternate universe—hence the reference to alice in wonderland. this was my first single release with my band, and i’m still very proud of it :)!
